Former World No.1, John McEnroe, showered accolades upon top-ranked Serb, Novak Djokovic, after the latter pulled off a dominating 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych at the ongoing ATP World Tour Finals in London, to officially confirm his core ranking for the remainder of the year.

“That shows me that he has become one of the greats of all time. He is going to be there a couple more years. He looks so rock solid, it’s incredible,” McEnroe was quoted as saying by Reuters.

“I would say the greatest players that ever lived are Roger (Federer), Rafa (Nadal), my idol Rod Laver and Pete Sampras,” he continued further, opining the top players in his eyes.

“He is getting better and by the time I was his age I was getting worse.”

Djokovic, 27, has won 7 Grand Slam titles so far in his illustrious career, and has been enjoying a spectacular 2014 season with an impressive win-loss record of 64-8.
