Novak Djokovic Not Afraid of Roger Federer: Boris Becker

Boris Becker, the coach of World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, believes that the Serb is not fearful to confront the best challenges in the world as he has peaked to a position that he has set a benchmark of his own for his fellow tennis players.

Becker joined forces with Djokovic in December 2013, and has helped him extend his Grand Slam tally to 11 titles ever since. In the process, the 29-year-old has imposed his domination on court eclipsing some big names, including that of his arch-rival Roger Federer.

That said, Becker insists that the Serb superstar has got nothing to be afraid of, and that his ideal game is matchless.

“Of course, you have many others , but I think he’s now found a position in world tennis where others have to look at him instead of the other way,” Becker, speaking of Djokovic’s challenges ahead, was quoted as per saying by Gulf News.

“I don’t think he should be afraid of anybody, whether they’re called Roger Federer or whoever. If he plays perfect, he won’t lose,” he added with poise.

Meanwhile, Djokovic has got top billing for this week’s Miami Masters, and is scheduled to take on either Great Britain’s Kyle Edmund or Czech Republic’s Jiri Vesely in the opener.
