Novak Djokovic is going strong on court at the moment, but the Serbian tennis star already has his post-retirement plans set.

Djokoivc, the current World No. 2, said he wants to take over as the captain of country’s Davis Cup team once he calls a time on his career.

“It really is a competition that has a lot of fun, I enjoy being with this group. Tennis has given me so much in my life that I can never be grateful enough for it,” Djokovic, who anchored Serbia to their only Davis Cup title in 2010, was quoted as saying by puntodebreak.com.

“Someday, when I retire from my activity as a player, I will definitely consider taking the place of Davis Cup captain,” he continued.

“I know it is a great responsibility but at the same time it is a great privilege to be able to lead your team on a global scale and contribute with your experience and knowledge, as well as transmit the commitment to the little ones.”

Meanwhile, Djokovic is currently in Monaco, where he is slated to take part at the Monte Carlo Masters that kick-starts on Monday.
