Novak Djokovic hasn’t played tennis since pulling out of the Wimbledon this year due to elbow issues. As a result, he is expected to fall out of the top-10 for the first time in a decade next week.

Despite all this, the Serb’s coach and former 8-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi believes his player can clinch the Australian Open title in January next year.

“Nothing short of winning is going to feel like success for him, I know that,” Agassi told TennisMash. “So, do I think he can win (Australian Open 2018)? Yes. Every time he steps on the court I think he can win.

“I fully expect to be responsible for him not doing it if he doesn’t. I expect him only to get better.”

Djokovic, a 12-time Major winner and a former No. 1 himself, is expected to make his comeback at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship – a three-day exhibition event in Abu Dhabi.

He might also compete at the Brisbane International in January first week before participating at the season-opening Grand Slam Down Under.
