Andy Murray took to his official Instagram account to share a picture of himself practicing with Spanish ace Fernando Verdasco as the duo continues to train ahead of the 2019 season.

Nothing fussy about that, right? Wrong.

Well, Murray and Verdasco were involved in a verbal altercation after their US Open match earlier this year that ended in a controversy following the latter’s upset win.

Murray had accused Verdasco talking to his coach while taking an ice bath – something which goes against the rules – after leaving the court midway for a ‘toilet break’ during their second-round match.

But, they seemed to have buried the hatchet.

“Getting reedy for 2019 @atptour @ferverdasco on the court I’ve spent more time on then any other in [world]… centre court at Crandon Park… bit gutted I won’t get to compete there anymore with the tournament moving next year,” the Brit wrote to his 1.5 million followers.

“We didn’t discuss ice baths by the ways.”

And, Murray’s good friend Nick Kyrgios decided to poke some fun.

“I thought you’d be able to practice with a guy that at least says hello while walking past people,” Kyrgios commented.

Murray’s reply was as cheeky. “He always says hi to me.. and doesn’t spend the whole practice trying to hit trick shots unlike some other players out there… not naming any names,” he shot back.

Funny guys!
