Nick Kyrgios is pretty serious heading into the grass-court season, it turns out.

The controversial Australian tennis star was visibly not in good mood during the pre-tournament press conference at the Aegon Championships in London as he lashed out at a journalist for asking him ‘two terrible questions’.

First, Kyrgios was asked if he would attempt a ‘hotdog’ (a shot played from between the legs) against his first-round opponent Andy Murray on Tuesday.

“You can’t win Wimbledon by doing that,” he shot back.

His frustration apparently doubled up after being asked about ‘Can’t do it anymore’ scream during a practice session with his mentor Lleyton Hewitt.

“I’m sure you were joking, but watching your practice, I heard you shout, ‘Can’t do it anymore.’  Just wondering what you couldn’t do?” he was asked.

Kyrgios was done by then. “You have asked two terrible questions,” he said. “When Lleyton [Hewitt] hit a winner, I said: ‘He doesn’t have that anymore’.

“You’ve had a shocker.  You’ve had an absolute shocker. He’s had an absolute shocker.”

Kyrgios and Hewitt will join forces for the doubles event. They are scheduled to face the French duo of Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert on Wednesday.
