Nick Kyrgios has made an honest assessment of Novak Djokovic’s stunning exit from the Miami Open.

Djokovic, the No. 1 seed, squandered a one-set advantage to suffer a 1-6 7-5 6-3 defeat at the hands of Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round on Tuesday.

Kyrgios, who also fell in the same stage (lost to Borna Coric), was surprised with Djokovic’s lackluster performance.

“Roberto Bautista Agut up 4-2 in the third over #1 Novak Djokovic. Hmm. #MiamiOpen,” New York Times journalist Ben Rothenberg wrote on Twitter.

Re-tweeting the tweet, Kyrgios wrote: “Something wrong with him for sure yeah.”

Kyrgios’s words were somewhat corroborated by Djokovic himself, who later revealed he’s been struggling with off-court issues that have affected his recent performances.

“It’s not the first time I lose early in both tournaments,” Djokovic, who crashed out in the third round in Indian Wells, was quoted as saying by ATP.

“I have done that the last couple of years. So definitely have to rethink how I prepare for Indian Wells/Miami next year.

“I just had way too many things off the court. I guess that affected me a little bit on the court. I didn’t feel my best health-wise, as well, in Indian Wells and here.

“Still rusty, but, hey, look, you learn that’s life.”

Agut, who had also Djokovic at Qatar Open as well, will face John Isner in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
