Slovak Republic’s Martin Klizan pulled off his third career title after triumphing at the ATP Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca on Sunday.

Klizan, the No. 2 seed, made short work of 95th-ranked Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain, clinching a 6-2 6-2 conquest to extend his winning streak to 3-0 in the ATP finals.

Besides emerging unbroken on his serve, Klizan won a dominant 79 percent of his first-serve points, and toppled his opponent’s serve twice each in both the sets.

“It’s an amazing feeling right now,” an ecstatic Klizan told the official ATP website. “I wished to be a champion and today I am. I am very proud and excited now. The crowd was unbelievable, they always support me.”

Klizan’s previous two triumphs on the men’s tour came in St. Petersburg (2012) and Munich (2014).

By the virtue of this win, Klizan improved his win-loss record this season by 14-8, as he prepares for this week’s Monte Carlo Masters.
