4th seed Kevin Anderson stormed into the semifinals of the Heineken Open 2015 in Auckland after overcoming American journeyman Steve Johnson in the last-eight stage.

The lanky South African needed just 97 minutes to pull off a 6-4 7-6 win over his 8th-seeded counterpart at the Centre Court on Thursday.

Commenting after his match, Anderson said that he was a part of a “really good match” and that he was “happy” with the way he exhibited his tennis skills during the rubber.

Up next, Anderson is scheduled to cross the swords with Czech qualifier Jiri Vesely, who made light work of unseeded American Donald Young in the other quarterfinal match-up.
