Heather Watson is all charged up to play mixed doubles alongside the ‘great’ Andy Murray at the Hopman Cup 2015 in Perth next month.

Watson, who is currently the best-ranked British female tennis player in the women’s rankings, is slated to make her first appearance at the mixed-team event in Perth.

“I’ve never played mixed doubles with Andy,” a keyed-up Watson was quoted as per saying by ClubCall.

“I don’t think I’ve ever even been on a court with him before. I’m really looking forward to it, getting to know him better,” she added.

Watson, 22, said that she is hoping to hone her tennis skills when she pairs up with the two-time Grand Slam champion for the first time in her career.

“Hopefully I can pick his brain a bit. Just playing doubles with him, he’s such a great player.”

The Hopman Cup will run from January 4-10 Down Under.
