With multiple Grand Slam winners Martina Navratilova in her coaching team, Poland’s top female tennis player Agnieszka Radwanska has set her eyes upon winning a major title next season.

Radwanksa expressed her desire to be working with Navratilova as she is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the 18-time singles champion and acquire as much knowledge as she can.

“Martina is my idol in tennis and I am honoured we will be working together,” Radwanska was quoted as saying by Wimbledon’s official site. “Her achievements speak for themselves and I hope I can learn from all her experience,” she added.

“My goal is to win a Grand Slam, so to have someone with Martina’s accomplishments in my corner is going to be hugely advantageous and give me a big boost,” continued Radwanksa.

“We are originally from a similar part of the world so we share an understanding about tennis and life, which I’m sure, will translate into a successful relationship.”

The 25-year-old Krakow-resident’s best result at a Grand Slam event came in 2012, where she reached the finals of the Wimbledon Championships in 2014, before losing to eventual champion Serena Williams in 3 sets.
