Alexander Zverev has signed-up with the Gerry Weber Open – an ATP 500 grass-court event – for the next three years.

The German star, who is currently ranked a career-best No. 4 in the world, has been a part of the tournament for the last three years – meaning he is set to feature in the draw for as many as six times on the trot.

“I cannot wait to go back to Halle. It’s one of my favorite tournaments on the tour,” said Zverev, who finished as the runner-up in both 2016 and 2017 editions.

The lanky 20-year-old will now join the likes of Switzerland’s Roger Federer (world No. 2), Austria’s Dominic Thiem (No. 7) and Japan’s Kei Nishikori (No. 14) among the others next season.

The Gerry Weber Open is held in the last week of June and serves as a warm-up event for the prestigious Wimbledon.
