Despite Skipping Wimbledon, Rafael Nadal Achieves a Milestone

Rafael Nadal may not be partaking at the Wimbledon Championships this week, but the Spaniard has hit an ace off the court!

The Spaniard, who pulled out of the prestigious tournament at All England Club to recuperate from an injury, pulled off a milestone, off the field though.

Nadal became the first tennis player to cross 10 million followers on Twitter, surpassing the likes of Novak Djokovic (5.93 million), Roger Federer (5.5 million), and Andy Murray (3.59 million).

On the women’s side, Serena Williams leads the pack with 6.23 million followers, followed by Sania Mirza (3.87 million) and Maria Sharapova (3.01 million).

Nadal also has the most fans on his Facebook page. With 14.6 million likes, the Spaniard edges Federer (14.5 million) to top the chart. Djokovic comes third with 6.9 million hits.
