Washington Open is generally known as Citi Open though is the sponsored by the Citi Bank since 2010. This tournament is playning since 1969 and first lt was known as Washington Stars. Since 1969 to 1981 as International sponsored by Sovran Bank and since 1982 to 1992 it’s was classic form. Citi Open was the Washington Open in 1993 and in the Hard Court played in the tennis classic form since 1994 to 2011 as the Legg Mason. Formally Citi Open played at Clay court but it was switched at hard curt at 1986.
