Ever since Serena Williams pulled off the Wimbledon crown this year, there have been a lot of chitchats if she will be able to clean-sweep all the four Grand Slams this year, the feat termed as ‘Serena Slam’.

With the final mega-event of the sport – the US Open – around the corner, the debate has come to light once again.

The 33-year-old Williams has been at her best, winning all three majors – Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon – so far this season.  Having lost just two matches and won as many as 42 in 2015, the record serves as a testimony itself.

So, does she have another shot at the US Open? Well, her fellow tennis player and best friend Caroline Wozniacki is certainly backing her odds.

“I think she’s already broken so many records and she’s a great player and a great champion,”Wozniacki was quoted as saying by

“I think she’s taking it as another tournament. She’s already won four Slams in a row so I think she’s doing pretty well for herself,” she added.

Williams is scheduled to kick-start her preparations for the US Open at this week’s Rogers Cup in Toronto.
