Simona Halep insists that having big breasts at the earlier stages of her tennis career was a “burden” in itself as that constrained her mobility, and that  it was a precise choice to go for a breast-reduction surgery.

As an 18-year-old circa, the Romanian decided to go under the knife in order to ebb her bust size, so that she can become more gung ho on the tennis circuit.

In an interview with Italian newspaper La Gazetta, Halep was candid to respond when asked about the erstwhile physical concern.

“My breasts were too big and it was hard to move well on the field. It was a burden,” the 23-year-old Constanta-resident stated openly.

Then ranked around No. 500 in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, Halep has become one of the most competitive players on the tour now, having ascended to as high as No. 2 in the list.

By hindsight, she, therefore, doesn’t be repentant of taking such a big step in the past. “For my tennis, it was the right decision. (I’d) do it again,” she added.
