World No.1 Novak Djokovic continued his winning run at the Australian Open 2015, following his straight-set triumph over Russia’s Andrey Kuznetsov at the Rod Laver Arena on Thursday.

The top-seeded Serb dropped just five games en route a 6-0 6-1 6-4 conquest of his unseeded counterpart in the second-round encounter that lasted for just 84 minutes.

“First two sets definitely have been great,” Djokovic was quoted as saying by the tournament’s official site. “Overall I executed the game plan. Everything I intended to do, almost 100 per cent.”

Meanwhile, defending champion Stanislas Wawrinka also sailed into the third round, defeating qualifier Marius Copil 7-6 7-6 6-3 in a thrilling three-set battle at the Margaret Court Arena.

The Swiss star endured 17 aces from his big-serving counterpart from Romania to move on to the next round, where he is scheduled to cross the swords with Jarkko Nieminen of Finland.
