No. 2 seed Maria Sharapova exhibited a spectacular exhibition of tennis skills at the Rod Laver Arena as she leaked just 3 games en route her quarterfinal entrance at the Australian Open 2015 on Sunday.

The fancied Russian scored 27 winners and committed just 15 unforced errors, as she cruised for a comfortable 6-0 6-3 conquest of Chinese journeywoman Shuai Peng in the battle that lasted for 75 minutes.

Up next, Sharapova is scheduled to cross the swords with 7th seed Eugenie Bouchard of Canada, who got the better of Irina-Camelia Begu 6-1 5-7 6-2 in the other fourth-round encounter.

Meanwhile 3rd seed Simona Halep of Romania also had a routine day in the office, getting past Belgian Yanina Wickmayer 6-4 6-2. She next meets 10th-seeded Russian Ekaterina Makarova, who pulled off a 6-3 6-4 win over Germany’s Julia Georges at the Margaret Court Arena.
