The recently-concluded Australian Open 2015 had a great impact on the men’s singles rankings that were officially published by the Association of Tennis Professionals on Monday.

While Serbia’s Novak Djokovic retained the top spot in the list after regaining the coveted crown Down Under, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal also clung on to the 2nd and 3rd position respectively despite making an early exit from the tournament.

Top Gainers

Great Britain’s Andy Murray stormed back into the top 4, thanks to a runner-up finish. Australians Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic jumped 18 places each to be ranked 35th and 48th respectively.

Top Losers

By failing to defend his Australian Open crown this year (l. to Djokovic in SF), Stanislas Wawrinka dropped 5 places to No. 9. American Sam Querrey also plummeted 7 spots to cascade to 42nd rank.
