2nd seed Martin Klizan was stretched to the wire by Germany’s Dustin Brown in the second round battle of the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca on Wednesday. The former, eventually, held his nerves to clinch a 6-4 4-6 7-6 win in what turned out to be a thrilling outing.

Following this nervy triumph, the complexity for the southpaw is likely to subsist in the last-eight stage as well, where he has been slated to square-off against former top 10 player Nicolas Almagro, who got the better of Frenchman Carlos Berlocq in the other second-round clash.

Envisaging a tough match ahead, Almagro said: “Against Klizan it will be a difficult match again, facing a lefty. But if I play like today I should have my chance.”
