The Wimbledon Championships 2015 is pursuing its closing stages, but the event has promised to be thrilling as ever. With the blockbuster semi-finals lined up in the men’s singles category, it’s hard to envisage the winner. But former champ, John McEnroe, is never shy of making bold predictions.

While Roger Federer and Andy Murray are scheduled to cross the swords in the first match, Novak Djokovic is slated to lock horns with Richard Gasquet (defeated Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarter-finals) in the last-four stage.

Although many would tout Djokovic and Federer as the favorites to lift this year’s crown, McEnroe’s got Murray running home with his second title at the All England Club.

“I didn’t think Roger was going to win another one. But every time I watch him play like this, you’ve got to think, “Well, of course he’s got a chance if you’re playing this well,” McEnroe was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.

“But to beat Murray, and in all likelihood Djokovic, to do that back-to-back, best-of-five, that’s a tough situation for Roger,” he continued. “So that’s why I’ve picked Murray to win the tournament but it (semis) is going to be an incredible match.”
