Alex De Minaur may be making great inroads on tennis courts, but his focus lies somewhere else (well, take it with a pinch of salt).

The 19-year-old, who recently won the prestigious Newcombe medal recently, is perhaps eyeing a career in boxing, is his latest social media activity is anything to go by.

De Minaur took to his official Instagram account to share a video of himself trying his hand at boxing.

Although he looked impressive with the gloves on, his caption was way too ambitious: He called out none other than Jeff Horn.

“@jeffhornboxer, can I be next in line???” he wrote the caption to his legions of followers.

For those unaware, Horn is a professional Australian boxer, who possesses a brilliant 19-1-1 record.

The current holder of WBO Oriental and WBA Oceania belts, he is best known to have defeated Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight title back in February 2017.

In his most recent appearance, Horn scored a stunning Round 1 KO of Anthony Mundine.

Can Minaur inflict second defeat on Horn?
