Elias Ymer encountered an awkward moment during his press conference at the Stockholm Open.

The up-and-coming Swedish tennis player was in the middle of his speech, when his phone rang.

“…it never happens when I play on tour,” he said as the ringtone interrupted the interaction.

“Oh, sorry,” he said immediately, putting his phone on silent as the journalists burst into laughter.

“But it’s mom, so it’s ok,” he said.

A similar moment had occurred when Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had his interaction briefly intervened by a phone call from his wife.

That’s what happens when you forget to put your phone on silent mode, isn’t it?

Meanwhile, Ymer overcame Maximilian Marterer in three sets but crashed out in the second round following a grueling match against American Jack Sock.

The 22-year-old is next scheduled to compete at this week’s ATP Challenger event in Brest, France. He will face Ivan Gakhov first up later on Tuesday.
