Angelique Kerber has said she is in no hurry to get into a relationship.

The German tennis star won her third Grand Slam title at Wimbledon over the weekend. And her focus continues to remain on the sport… at least for now, she insists.

“The beautiful picture question I was waiting for. I’m not stressing myself there. If you do not expect it, it comes, that’s the way it is,” she told Bild after her maiden triumph at the All England Club.

“I’m not putting myself under pressure. I’ll find out, and then picture has its headline.”

This is not the first time Kerber has been taciturn on her relationship status.

In an interview a few years back, Kerber said although she plans to settle down at some point in her life, tennis continues to be her first love.

“My great love is tennis – that has always been so,” she had said.

“Tennis is the most important thing to me right now, I still have time to find a boyfriend, get married and have children.

“After all, if there is one guy out there waiting for me, then we will find each other eventually, without forcing it.”

Despite, there were rumours early on in her career that Kerber was seeing her former long-time coach Torben Beltz. Nothing was ever confirmed though.
