US tennis player Sam Querrey reveals why he didn’t go on honeymoon with wife Abby Dixon

Life of a tennis player can be tough. And Sam Querrey is well aware of that as he hasn’t yet got time to honeymoon with his wife Abby Dixon.

The American tennis player tied the knot with his model girlfriend on June 9 in Florida. But, their busy schedules have meant they are yet to enjoy some quality time holidaying.

Dixon accompanied Querrey at the last week’s ATP event in Queen’s Club – their first appearance together since their marriage.

But, a quarter-final exit for Querrey (lost to Marin Cilic) meant they were there for just three days. And now, she’s back cheering on, at the ongoing Wimbledon.

“Not really. We went home for three days and flew over for Queen’s,” the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by Reuters. “If you count that as a honeymoon. I don’t think she does.”

“Maybe down the road. Neither of us want to really take a honeymoon right now. We travel so much during the year anyway.

“Maybe at the end of the year we will do a honeymoon somewhere close to where we live.”

Querrey, a semi-finalist at last year’s Championships, has enjoyed a flying start to his campaign this season. Straight sets victories over Jordan Thompson and Sergiy Stakhovsky have set him up a third-round date with Frenchman Gael Monfils.

Wonderful wedding for a wonderful couple! Congrats Stevie & Kendall! ❤️
