John McEnroe recently claimed that Donald Trump had once offered him $1 million for battle of sexes against either Serena Williams or her elder sister Venus.

“I was calling a match and suddenly I get this envelope, and it’s from Donald Trump, who is promoter galore,” McEnroe told during chat show In Depth with Graham Bensinger.

McEnroe, a former world No. 1 in both singles and doubles, called a time on his career in 2006. Since then, he has been working as a commentator and analyst.

During one of his interviews last year, McEnroe found himself under the scanner after saying Serena would be ranked 700th on the ATP World Tour.

However, according to Serena’s ex-boyfriend Lonnie Rashid Lynn aka Common, there would be only one winner if the duo locks horns on court.

“Man, Serena and Venus all the way,” Common, who was involved in an on-and-off relationship with Serena from 2007-2010, told TMZ.
