Martin Klizan didn’t have the best of the days in the office on Wednesday.

The Slovak tennis player made a comeback from one-set down to prevail 4-6 6-3 7-5 over Mirza Basic in the second round of the ATP BMW Open in Munich.

And the intense contest did have a bit of extra drama too.

Klizan, clearly unhappy with his inconsistency, had a couple of meltdowns during the two-hour two-minute encounter.

On one occasion, he broke his racket apart using his foot. The other occasion saw the net bear the brunt of his frustration.

Nonetheless, Klizan, who came through the qualifiers, somehow managed to pull this one off and set up a possible quarter-final date with 4th seed Hyeon Chung.

Chung leads the head-to-head record against Klizan 1-0.
