Spectators are traditionally expected to cheer the players on. There are times, though, that they play the spoilsport.

One such instance took place during the Davis Cup Americas Group 1 second-round tie between hosts Argentina and Chile over the weekend.

Taking on Christian Garrin in the second rubber of the tie, Argentina’s Schwartzman, who is usually calm and composed on court, was unhappy with a couple of Chilean supporters causing trouble from the stands.

At 7-6 4-2, Schwartzman took the matter to the chair umpire as he yelled, “They are two losers.” The official then made sure they were debarred from the stands.

Subsequently, the Argentine star went on to register a hard-fought 7-6 6-7 6-2 win as the home team clung on to prevail 3-2 over Chile and qualify for the World Group play-offs.
