Nick Kyrgios and Alexander Zverev are considered to be two of the brightest tennis prospects. So, comparisons between the two youngsters are inevitable.

The duo locked horns in a Davis Cup tie recently, and it was Germany’s Zverev who pulled off a straight-set 6-2 7-6 6-2 win over Australia’s Kyrgios in a lopsided contest.

Todd Woodbridge, former Australian tennis player, therefore couldn’t resist talking the difference as to how the the two players differ in constructing a point.

“We saw the difference in the construction of the points.,” the former Wimbledon semi-finalist was quoted as saying by bolamarela.pt.

“Kyrgios is 14th in the ranking and Zverev is 5th. This difference is great in terms of consistency. At that meeting we saw Zverev appear and be much more consistent.

Woodbridge added that if Kyrgios intends to make further inroads in the rankings, he needs to be more disciplined in his game.

“Disciplined is probably the most correct word. This is the next level for Nick to enter the top 10, top 5.”
