Marin Cilic often finds himself under scanner for his ball-bouncing tactics. And the Croatian star was at it again on Thursday.

During his semi-final match against Britain’s Kyle Edmund at the Australian Open, Cilic bounced the ball more than usual.

19 times and then 27 times, he bobbed the ball before unleashing his serve – something he did at the ATP Finals in 2017 as well.

Fans were quick to show their displeasure, accusing Cilic of ‘turning’ into Novak Djokovic, who, too, has garnered flak for similar reasons in the past.

“I’ve just tweeted the same issue, he’s turning into Djoko, if not worse. Not a fan. #BloodyAnnoying,” one user wrote alongside a triplet of thumbs-down emoticons.

“Old @DjokerNole ‘s trick!” another user corroborated.

Cilic, the No. 6 seed, though put on a clinical show en route a 6-2 7-6 6-2 win over Edmund to enter the final of the season-opening Grand Slam Down Under.
