Victoria Azarenka is at the risk of missing the Australian Open next month as she continues to fight for the custody of her son Leo with estranged partner Billy McKeague.

According to reports, Azarenka is not allowed to leave California – where the case is under way – until the process is completed. Therefore, making it Down Under in about a fortnight’s time appears to be dubious.

The 28-year-old, who has won two Australian Open titles in her career, also pulled out of the ASB Classic in Auckland due to same reason.

Azarenka, a former world No. 1, hasn’t played since losing in the third round of Wimbledon this year. She last won a title at the Miami Open in April 2016.
