Controversial Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic has found himself in news again, and for all the wrong reasons too.

The 24-year-old, who is known for his bad behaviour on and off the court, reportedly spent $50,000 at a posh nightclub in Melbourne, reports Herald Sun.

The exorbitant package included a helicopter ride, private security, special arrangement for guests, and vintage champagne among the facilities, the report added.

But while the amount may seem ridiculous to others, it’s just peanuts for Tomic. Well, that’s how he puts it.

“I was not in Australia for 10 months and it is a chance to catch up with friends and (have) an enjoyable night,” said Tomic, who crashed out in the first round of the ongoing US Open.

“It ($50,000) might seem ridiculous to other people, but then again it is peanuts to me.

“When you have close to $14 million, I think it only equals 0.36 per cent of what I am worth, so it is not a lot of money, but it might seem a lot to other people.”

Bernard “Money” Tomic, eh?
