British tennis player Dan Evans was forced to pull out of this week’s Paris Masters event after his kit bag went missing on the way.

Evans, currently placed 60th in the world rankings, took to his official Twitter account to divulge that his bag – containing racquets and other essentials – went missing while on flight from Birmingham to Paris. As a result, he had to make his way back the next day.

“I had to pull out of Paris as my racquet bag never made it to Paris from Birmingham so basically I had a day trip to Paris,” he wrote.

Evans was due to play Czech Republic’s Lukas Rosol in the first round of qualifying here. But, the 26-year-old will now have to make a few amends to his schedule.
