Eugenie Bouchard Questions the Colors of Wimbledon Towel

Wimbledon’s all-white tradition is considered to be among the most stringent tennis rules. So much so that, the premier grass-court tournament doesn’t allow a player to wear anything besides white – be it their clothing, shoes, or even the innerwear.

One such violation of this regulation took place last year when Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard was spotted wearing a black undergarment that popped out during her stunning first-round defeat at the hands of China’s Ying Ying Duan.

On the eve of this year’s event, however, Bouchard questioned Wimbledon’s fancy towel used during the matches on court. “There are strict all white rules for our outfits but then the towels are the craziest colours… Oh @wimbledon,” she laughed off on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Bouchard is scheduled to lock horns with Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia in the first round on Tuesday.
