London 2012 bronze medalist Juan Martin del Potro has set his eyes upon a second consecutive podium finish at the Rio Olympics, scheduled to be held from August 6-14.

Argentine del Potro, who upset Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in the bronze medal playoff in the last edition, touted the feat as one of his biggest achievements, as he is hopeful for an encore of performance at the sport’s mega event.

“Well, for me [the Olympics are] very special,” the 27-year-old told The Washington Post. “I won the bronze medal in the last Olympics. I know how it feels after winning a medal for your country.

“I did it beating Djokovic in the bronze-medal match. Of course that’s been one of my biggest success of my career (sic).”

Del Potro, who is presently gearing up for the next week’s Wimbledon, also corroborated his schedule.

“I play Davis Cup (quarter-final match up against Italy) after here (Wimbledon). Then I play in Washington, D.C. (the City Open) and then the Olympics,” he said.
