In-form Belarusian tennis star Victoria Azarenka is hoping to continue her purple patch as she targets more glory in the near future. The two-time Grand Slam champion is eyeing success not only at the Olympics this year, but also at the Grand Slam events.

Azarenka, by far, has been the most dominant female tennis player in 2016, having an impressive 24-2 win-loss record. She has already pulled off three titles this season, and followed it up with a clean record to help her country excel at the Fed Cup recently.

Azarenka has accomplished a lot in her career as a tennis player: the numero uno ranking, triumphs at the majors, and podium finishes at the Olympics. But, the thirst to achieve hasn’t quite quenched just as yet for the lanky 26-year-old.

“I want to win another big one,” she told Marca – when asked what motivates her to continue pursuing the sport despite having tasted enough success – apparently referring to another success at the Grand Slam tournaments.

“Will be my third Games in Rio, and is special because I always wanted to be there for the carnival,” added Azarenka, who bagged the singles bronze medal and mixed doubles gold (along with Max Mirnyi) at the 2012 London Olympics.
