Lions vs Jets Highlights

Today (Sun., September 28, 2014) the Detroit Lions looked to keep momentum rolling when they rolled into the Meadowlands to take on the skidding Jets.

Sat wide receiver Calvin Johnson remained hobbled from the ankle injury that kept him out of practice this week. Because of that, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had to look for other weapons in the passing game.

Matching up well against the Jets’ beatable secondary, he did. He first found Jeremy Ross for this 59-yard touchdown pass (courtesy of Vine):

Stafford then found touted rookie tight end Eric Ebron for this 16-yard touchdown pass (Vine):

The quarterback wasn’t done there, however, adding this rushing score to go up 21-10 (Vine):

The Jets added a late touchdown on this impressive run from running back Chris Johnson, narrowing the Detroit lead to 21-17 (Vine):

The Jets couldn’t get any closer, dropping their third straight to and NFC team.
