Short Match Preview & Team News:

Manchester United are likely to hand debut to new signing Rojo and we can expect Danny Wellbeck to start alongside Wayne Rooney. The interesting thing will be whether Van Gaal keep the 3-5-2 formation or will he revert to more conventional 4-4-1-1 formation for the game.

Sunderland got a hard fought 2-2 draw against Everton last week and they will be eager to keep United under pressure and get a good result against them. For United this game is very crucial a defeat here will put them in a position where they will already be chasing shadows of the top 4 coming next couple of weeks. The anticipation for this game as far as United fans are concerned is huge.

Possible Starting Linueps of Manchester United-Sunderland:

This is how I expect both teams to lineups this sunday, the confirmed lineups will be announced 1 hour before the kickoff and we will update them right here.

Match Predictions:

Sunderland played a decent game against West Brom on the first match day where they scored a late goal to earn a 2-2 draw and looked dangerous going forward. But their fragile defence is somthing to worry about which United can exploit with their pace and trickey but I am not too sure of United’s much talked about 3-5-2 system.

In the game against Swansea City United players looked lost and fail to captilise on higher possesion and If Van Gaal goes in the game with same system I can see United getting troubled by this Sunderland striker force. I think it will be a low scoring game with United scoring a late goal in second half to earn their first three points.
