Top goal scorers in Confederations cup 2013

Reharsal for the FIFA World Cup 2013 will be underway on 15 june 2013 as 8 teams take the field in what will be a show piece event 1 year before the FIFA World Cup in England. Confederations Cup has 8 teams fighting out for the title and these teams are already champions from different regions of World Football with Host BRazil going into the event has favourites, with some great young players and of course new Barca man Naymar who will be the highlight player of the event while there are two other big European giants with Spain and Italy mixing it out in june, but what players for each team we should watch out for or will be expected to do great things ?

Jorge Enriquez (Mexico) – Defensive Midfieder

Mexican forward who helped his team take the Gold Medal in Olympics 2013, Enriquez is a great player who can score goals and creat as well and he will be the main stay in midfield for Mexican side. Enriqez is just 21 year old who playes as a holding midfielder and already have played around 10 matches Mexican national team.

Naymar (Brazil) – Forward

He has recently signed for Barcelona and have been in the spot light for quite sometime, but he has yet to live up to his expectations and this is the competition tailor made for him to announce himself on the biggest stage before the start playing his trade in Europe. He has already been become an house hold name without actually doing anything, well apart from some tricks and scoring goals in Brazilian league which do not live up to the hype he has so far, played a few high profile matches against England and in both games he looked good but not what Brazilian make of him. But this is the stage he can truely take centre stage.

Mario Balotelli (Italy) – Forward

He is kind opposite to what Naymar has to offer, Balotelli is already a star although inconsistant and has some temprament issues but he do turn up in big games and since arriving back to Italy from Manchester City he has been sensational and who will forget his magnificent performences in Euro 2012 and two goals against Germany in the Semifinal. If Italy have some hopes, they are with him.

Stephan El Shaarawy (Italy) – Forward

Another young Italian who has been a revealation in the Seria A this season, for his age his gameplay and awarness is fantastic on top of that he can score goals and creat goals what makes him a very exciting player to watch.

Benat Etxebarria (Spain) – Midfielder

Spain has dominated World Football for quite some time, winning two back to back European Championships and 2010 FIFA World Cup. But most of the golden generation players are in twilight of their career or not performing at the same lever as before so can Spain continue their dominance, well one sign of it is Benat Etxebarria’s who has emerged as great no prospect for Spain and already have some experience playing with National team. Who will be a great asset for World Champions.

Hideto Takahashi (Japan) – Defensive Midfielder

Japan always have that one player who is a stand out from the rest, but this time around this very strong japanese side have players like Shinji Kagway the Man Utd man, and highly rate Hideto Takahashi who can be a key player if Japan has to make it a mark in Confederations cup.

Paulinho (Brazil) – Midfield

Just scored a goal against England which saved Brazil blushes in a 2-2 draw, he has been linked with a move away from Brazilian league where he has been playing on top of this game. He can be a star in Confederations Cup specially playing with Naymar he can get more space and less attention which might suite him. He has a strong work ethic and excellend arial ability.

Marco Verratti (Italy) – Attacking Midfielder
Paris Saint Germain man is a wanted man in European football after a great season with french outfit, Although his temprament is a problem but he is a quality young player who us sure to feature alot in Italian Nations side in the coming years.

Martin Montoya (Spain) – Full Back
Another new gem in Spanish lineup, Montoya plays for FC Barcelona and has made a few appearences for them in last season, he is a solid full back who will surley push Dani Alves from Starting lineup in next season.

So there we have it, mix of young upcoming players who might make a name for themselves in the confederations cup and a few who are already big name players but need to show what the fuzz is all about. Confed Cup starts on 15th june and we will have the full coverage on TSMPLUG.COM, From live stream, goals video, match highlights, statistcs like Points table and top scorers everything will be here.
