Manuel Neuer is Germany's new captain

Germany announced their new captain name before 2018 Russia World Cup. Bayern Munich’s star goalkeeper and 2014 world cup winner Manuel Neuer selected as the new goalkeeper.

Bastian Schweinsteiger, the former captain just retired from football. But defender Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels from Bayern Munich, Read Madrid Midfielder Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira from Juventus was also at the run of Captain along with 30-year-old Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

After 2014 world cup, Bastian Schweinsteiger led Germany after Philipp Lahm. But after 2016, EURO mission Manchester United midfielder announced his retirement from the national team.

Schweinsteiger played his last match for Germany on last Wednesday against Finland also won by 2-0 goals. Germany will play first match of 2018 World Cup qualifier against Norway on Sunday. Rest of their four opponents Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan and San Marino. From Group C
