Manchester City thinks that the few wrong decision by the referee has cost them the match. Manuel Pellegrini said that he didn’t expect themselves to lose in this match and it came as a big shock.
Manchester City lost the first leg match with Everton in Capitol One Cup. This was a match on the opponents field but they were the better team overall and a loss was really a big surprise.
Everton played really well in this match and they were the first team to score here. They managed to keep the lead till the half of second-half but finally City managed to equalize. However, their relief was short lived as they conceded another goal by Lukaku and this time they could not over turn that. Thus it was Everton that won the match at the very last.

Pellegrini said that they still have a chance to overthrow this when they play at their home ground and added that the first goal was an offside. While he also said that his team deserved a penalty in the match but did not get that. He also said, in some cases referee avoided calling some fowls as well and that affected the overall performance in the game.
However, he praised the Everton mid-field player Gareth Bori and said that he was really good in the field with the ball. He added that, this man is very professional and gives his best in every match which is very rare now-a-days.
