Liverpool secured their place in UCL quarter final

Liverpool is one of the top rated English club which used to take part in every season of Premier League. They are regarded as one of the Big Four club in EPL. Besides, they have another identity which is considering the Champions League statistics, Liverpool is also very popular and one of the most successful team by winning five Champions League titles along with two times runners up. Now, in the ongoing season, they have participated in the UCL and in the second leg of round of last sixteen in Champions League, the Reds made draw against Porto. As a result, Liverpool secured their place in UCL quarter final.

Basically Liverpool won the first leg against the same team Porto which was the away match of the Reds. They won the match by destroying the Portuguese team completely. So, considering the two legs, Liverpool won by 5 – 0 aggregation. Liverpool won the first leg by 5 – 0 goals. But in the second leg which was staged at Anfield, Liverpool could not score a single goal there.

At the home venue of Porto, Liverpool got dominating victory and so, they moved one step closer to the last eight in UCL. And in the second leg at Anfield, after the draw by 0 – 0  goals, Liverpool the team of Jurgen Klopp jumped to the next round of UEFA Champions League.

In last Tuesday night at the home venue of the Reds, Liverpool drawn the match and so considering all the competition in last six head to head battle between the two teams, Liverpool remain undefeated to the Portuguese club Porto. At the venue of FC Porto, Liverpool got a big victory over them where Sadio Mane scored an amazing hat trick.

Porto had to make the most impossible things against Liverpool if they wanted to move to the quarter final of UCL. But they did not find the net of Liverpool for a single moment.

At the home venue of Liverpool, the Reds could went ahead in 18th minutes of the game,Mane took a shot with his right leg but ball went outside of the crossbar. In 31st minutes of the game, Milner passed the ball to Sadio Mane who took another shot but this time post stopped the ball. Just after four minutes, Croatian defender Lovren made a head but that was missed as well and so, the supporters of the Reds getting disappointed. In the second half, Liverpool also dominated the ground but most desiring goal was unseen. But finally Liverpool moved to the next level.
