Manchester United 3-1 Liverpool Highlights 2014 Friendly

by Sameer Arshad | Posted on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 | 6

Manchester United defeated Liverpool by 3-1 after coming from behind when Steven Gerrard put reds 1-0 up with a penalty, Ronney Mata and Lindgard scored for United. Match Highlights blow.

There was nothing between the two sides in the first half with Liverpool scoring from their major chance, United came back into the game with two goals in two minutes, first was Rooney’s deft left foot finish from a super cross by Hernandez and than the Mata’s deflected shot.

Liverpool vs Manchester United – Int’l Champions Cup 2014 Final
04 August 2014 20:00 ET – 01:00 AM UK Time FoxSports1, ESPN Deportes, MUTV Sunlife Stadium, Miami

Manchester United defeated Real madrid in the group game on saturday night in front of a record breaking 109,000 crowd which broke the previous record of 101,000 set in a soccer match. Louis Van Gaal’s team has won all 4 of their pre season matches so far and the next assignment is against Liverpool before the return home to UK and will be starting their premier league campaign.

Liverpool on the other hand also had a good pre season and life after Suarez does not look that gloomy, with a new signings and experience of some of the already established stars Liverpool might well turn out to be a difficult team to play against next year.

Where to watch the Final between Liverpool vs Manchester United ?

The game will be played at around 8:00 PM local time on Monday night 04 August 2014, Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the game in english while ESPN Deportes will broadcast in spanish. The UK fans can either tune in to MUTV who will be showing the game live stream through their official website and you can buy the subscription for this game for just 1.99 GBP. We will try to get information whether BTSPorts or Skysports will show this game live or not.

Man UTD vs Liverpool Team Lineups & Predictions:

Louis Van Gaal started with quite a strong lineup against Real Madrid with Rooney, Welbeck, Young, Valencia, Mata all starting while Cleverly and Fletcher started the game from midfield. We can see a couple of changes in United lineup while Liverpool might keep us guessing who they will start.

Its a pre season friendly game but stakes are bit higher with its being the tournament final and two of the biggest clubs for england going head to head before the league season gets underway. Manchester United are looking like a completely different side to what we saw last year, there is this bite in Mata and Rooney’s play while Ashley YOung has scored four goals already. I am going with another easy win for Manchester United.

  • Mcdonag

I have watched all Manchester United’s games live on MUTV, i can’t believe MUTV didn’t have either the faith or foresight to plan the showing of the final? Comments please.

Mcdonag. Tried to phone MUTV to sign up but I have BT Sport, not Virgin or Sky. A recorded msg was supposed to tell me how I could get MUTV if I didn`t have Virgin or Sky. On the phone for 5 minutes but not a sausage. I`d be pleased with any help.
Discovered a MU bloomer on another page. Guesting at the players awards ceremony is David Moyes – ha ha. I e-mailed to say that I am DM and would be pleased to attend. Ho ho.
