Liveprool has already played couple of games in the US pre season and the life after Suarez will be a big test for the premier league runnerups. They defeated OLYMPIACOS in the opening group game by 1-0 while as I am writing this they will be playing against Manchester City in the 2nd pre season friendly match which will be part of Champions Cup 14.

Liveprool has brought in couple of exciting players after the record breaking sale of Luis Suarez and Brandon Rodgers has rubbished claims comparing Liverpool to Tottenham saying that “at Liverpool we have a strategy”. Liverpool squad was not big enough last season which kind of caused them the title late in the season and they are looking to bring in number of player to strengthen their bench and lineup for the 2014-15 season.

In the game against Olympiakos they were lackluster to say the least, they clearly missed that cutting edge of Suarez. Rahim Sterling put Liverpool 1-0 up after just 5 minutes but after that Liveprool could not build on the lead and failed to score. Although this is the just a pre season event so we can not look much into the performances.

AC Milan are no longer a European Power-house – Mario Balotelli is a puzzle Milan can not seem to solve and his departure is rumoured with Arsenal interested in former City player

Man City humbled AC Milan by 5-1 in the 2nd group game played in Pittsburg

AC Milan were poor against Manchester City and they clearly don’t have many world class players which the famous Milans of last couple of decads were famous for. I can see another win for Liverpool against AC Milan and we might have an all english Champions Cup final with Manchester United vs Man City/Liveprool.
