Cardiff City who in the bottom half of the table were playing West ham United in the Premier League game which could help them get clear of the bottom pile. Playing at home infront of passional cardiff fans and new manager Ole Gunner Solkjear Cardiff City started the match strongly but they failed to take their chances before Carlton Cole scored in the 42nd minute to give hammers the much needed lead.

Cardiff City battered West ham throughout the match but they failed to take their chances, It was astonishing how West ham hold on to their lead, in 72nd minute a moment of madness from James Tomkins almost got Cardiff city back in the game when the recieved his 2nd yellow and marching orders. They they hang in there and scored another in 90th minte to take all thee points back to London.
