18 mins: Seamus Coleman opens the scoring with a great header at the far post. It’s 1-0 to the Toffees and Arsenal look stunned. Mirallas was almost able to follow up and make it 2-0 at the 20-minute mark. Everton looking strong on the counter attack in the first half, and Arsenal looking rather slow.

Ozil and Wilshere started well, but towards the end of the first half they had begun looking disjointed. Lukaku gets away from the Arsenal defense, and Steven Naysmith sneaks in a 45th minute goal! Everton go in to half time with a great 2-0 lead.

Bookings: Mertesacker, Baines

Second Half: Arsenal need to pull their socks up here, a repeat of the first 45 minutes won’t do. Giroud replaces Sanchez for the second half.
