In the final day of the English Premier League 201-15 transfer window Manchester United have made another big signing. Having already snatched up Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria, the struggling Red Devils are still looking to strengthen their squad. News broke today that Monaco striker and Colombian international star Radamel Falcao has signed for Manchester United on loan. Read on for more news from the transfer deadline day live stream

Radamel Falcao Garcia_

Multiple sources are linking Colombian born striker Radamel Falcao to a one-year loan move to Manchester United. The Monaco striker will come just in time for the struggling former champions, as they are yet to claim a win in this seasons opening three games. A 4-1 cup loss to MK Dons was embarrassing at best, and Louis Van Gaal’s United squad will hope to kick start their season before it’s too late.

The 28-year old AS Monaco star was being heavily linked to a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but United have since confirmed their season long agreement. Falcao is currently in a five-year contract with Monaco, rumoured to be worth £50 million, with an annual wage of around £13 million. The season loan with United is estimated to be worth £6 million with a view to a permanent signing.

Also of interest for United fans….

It’s one in, one out for the United team, as front man Hernandez has been confirmed in a move to Real Madrid. The Mexican international has scored 37 goals for United since joining four seasons ago, and has only seen 45 minutes of play under new manager Louis Van Gaal. It appears that he doesn’t quite fit the Dutchman’s vision of United this season, and he joins Madrid for an undisclosed sum for a season-long loan, with a view to a full contract.

Could this last minute deal be the start of Manchester United’s rise from the ashes? Fans of the Red Devils will hope so, as the 20-time league champions are yet to win a game in the 2014-15 EPL. Stay tuned for more last minute transfer deadline news.
