Cristiano Ronaldo goalless season – 2015/16

This season isn’t going well at all for the Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo. The stats says that he played 25 matches and scored 25 goals in this season as well. The average for him even in this season is 1 goal per match so it may seem that I just plain lying. However, things are much worse than it seems after taking a look at the stats.
How, you ask. Perhaps this information will help with your thoughts and that information is – Ronaldo hasn’t been able to score in 16 matches out of the 28 matches that he played in this entire season. 25 league level atches and 3 matches with his country.
He hasn’t scored in 13 matches out of the 25 that he played for Real Madrid and he is still scoreless with his national team as well. Now to be more precise with the stats, Ronaldo scored 25 goals in 12 matches only. That is an insane average of over 2 goals in those matches. However, things are like this, out of his 14 goals in league matches 9 came in 3 matches and he only scored 5 goals in 16 other matches.

Bad things for Ronaldo did not stop there as the forward is basically goal less in every important match that Real played so far in the season. He hasn’t been able to score against Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia and all of these teams are in the top 10 of the league. Basically, he hasn’t been able to do anything against an worthy opponent. Not only that, he hasn’t scored against PSG in champions league as well which was the only big team in Real’s group.
He scored in times when there was no need for him to score at all like against the 10-2 win. Even if he didn’t score 2 goals, Real would have still won the match by 8-2. However, in tight situation where he was needed he failed to deliver anything good. We hope that the new year brings a lot of changes to this player.
