WATCH: Garbine Muguruza turns blind eye to coach Sam Sumyk; smashes racket at Thailand Open

Garbine Muguruza had a tough in the office by all means on Friday.

Not only did she crash out of the Thailand Open earlier than expected, but also showed off her frustrating side en route to losing 6-7 1-6 to 18-year-old Dayana Yastremska of Russia in the quarter-finals.

Although Muguruza showed some fight in the first-set tiebreaker, saving as many as six set points, she failed to make the most of it.

The frustration was evident as she smashed her racket multiple times.

Not that it helped her take control of the game.

Muguruza, winner a Wimbledon and French Open, was quickly down 1-4 in the second set as she decided to call her coach Sam Sumyk for assistance.

Sumyk did give her a few words of advice, but to no reponse from the Spanishwoman.

Irritated, he asked her: “But are you listening to me?”

Perhaps, Muguruza wasn’t as she turned a blind eye (maybe, ear in this case) to it.

This is not the first time the duo has had petty arguments on court.

At the 2018 China Open, on being advised by Sumyk to concentrate on her first serve, Muguruza said: “What serve? I don’t have a f*****g serve.”
