Without any doubt, Nick Kyrgios had the best week of his life.

Consecutive wins over Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, John Isner and Alexander Zverev saw Kyrgios win ATP 500 Mexican Open title in Acapulco.

And after prevailing 6-3 6-4 over Zverev in Sunday’s final, the Australian was subject to a cheeky sledge from his German counterpart.

During the post-match presentation, Zverev poked fun at Kyrgios for not having enough supporters in his box.

“Now would be the moment to say well done to your team, but there’s two people there,” he said.

“First of all, they left, and I don’t know what their actual job is to be honest. Well done to them as well,” he added.

No wonder, Kyrgios couldn’t stop laughing during the entire speech.

Praising the Australian for his effortful week, Zverev added: “To beat four players like that in a 500 event, you deserve to win it.

“I know you guys had a little bit of fight with the crowd, but really, he’s the one who deserves to win the tournament this week. He’s the real champion of this week.

“I think people need to give credit to the people that deserve credit, and I think Nick this week showed to be the best player, so well done to you.”
